The positions in a k-pop group
When you make your debut as a k-pop band you get your position in the group (dancer, vocalist, rapper and visual)
Over the years it has been decided that you are, for example, the main dancer or lead rapper.
The fans decide who will be the center (most popular member)...
Main ( dancer, vocalist or rapper): it means you are the best of your group in that section. Sometimes there are more then 1 main ( dancer, vocalist or rapper).
Lead ( dancer, vocalist or rapper): it means you are the 2nd best of your group in that part.
Sub ( dancer, vocalist or rapper): it means that you are not the best of your group for this part but you do belong to the group of the (dancers, vocalists and rappers) Usually if you are a sub rapper for example you are usually also a sub dancer or vocalist or both
Visual: If you are a large group, there are (usually) multiple visuals. A visual is the person who fits the most beauty standards in korea or perhaps the prettiest of the group
Maknae: you are the maknae of a group if you are the youngest member.
